The New Below Deck Yacht Makes Me Want To Go On The Show Again

If you’re new to my blog, you may not know that I was on a TV show call Below Deck. This was a reality show about a crew working on a charter yacht. It deals with the drama of the crew as they deal with each other and the snobby rich customer who chartered the yacht. I was the snobby rich customer who chartered the yacht.

Since my charter, Bravo has asked me numerous times if I ever want to go back on the show and I’ve always said no because I didn’t want to charter the same boat. However, for season 7 of Below Deck Mediterranean, they got a new bigger boat and now I thinking a yacht charter vacation in the Mediterranean may be just what the doctor ordered!

The new Below Deck Mediterranean boat is call Home (as in home away from home) and she looks absolutely stunning. The 50 meter (163.3 feet) superyacht was built by Dutch shipyard Heesen in 2017. It was one of the first superyachts of its size to feature a hybrid propulsion package, which makes her 48 per cent more efficient than other 50 meter yachts, and is the first diesel-electric motor yacht to appear on Below Deck. In other words, she’s more environmentally friendly so you won’t have to worry as much about your personal carbon footprint.

Home’s stand out styling by Omega Architects features floor to ceiling glass in the main living areas and the full beam master cabin. This cascades natural light onto clean, contemporary Ibiza style interiors by Cristiano Gatto as well as creating a soothing connection between inside and out.

A roomy sun deck has sun loungers forward with glass screens to shield the breeze and deliver the views, a jacuzzi aft and a stylish sit up bar with designer lounge shaded by the hardtop in the middle. The upper deck’s casual sky lounge has beanbags, day beds and teak decking that, together with the glass walls and sliding glass doors, link the space seamlessly with the open air dining area aft.

The main deck has spacious, relaxed lounging aft, perfect for snacks and cocktails, and the main saloon is divided into a day lounge aft with amazing views and a cosy TV lounge. A dining room forward has breathtaking vistas of every sunset. Add to that a shady beach club next to the large swim platform where you can enjoy all the latest watertoys, an air conditioned gym and bucket seats at the bow for when you want to feel the wind in your hair.

When it’s on Below Deck, the yacht will get a new name. After the season is over, Home will go back to being a normal charter yacht. Her rates start at $245,000 per week.
